The Development of the Caminho para os Ervais Website as a Strategy for Promoting the Potentialities of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul

This book presents the development of the Caminho para os Ervais website as a strategy for promoting the territorial, cultural, historical, tourist and economic potentialities of municipalities in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. The study discusses the relationship between regional development, territory, identity, education, interculturality and Information and Communication Technologies, emphasizing the role of organized access to information in strengthening territorial belonging and supporting public policies for regional valorization. The website prototype gathers information from the municipalities of Amambai, Bela Vista, Coronel Sapucaia, Maracaju, Mundo Novo and Ponta Porã, highlighting their natural, cultural, historical and tourist assets. The research also analyzes the perception of municipal and state managers regarding the relevance of the tool for regional development. The results indicate that the municipalities recognize their local potentialities and that the use of a digital platform may contribute to increasing territorial visibility, integrating information and fostering initiatives related to tourism, culture and development.
