The book analyzes entrepreneurship and innovation in the public sector, with an emphasis on actions aimed at the inclusion and appreciation of women in Goiás, Brazil. Based on research developed in the Master’s Program in Development and Territorial Planning at PUC Goiás, the study combines literature review, bibliometric analysis, case study, and mapping of governmental and institutional initiatives. The research discusses how entrepreneurial and innovative practices can contribute to more efficient, responsive, and socially oriented public management. It highlights the analysis of the Social Work Project developed in the Buena Vista I and III Residential Complex in Goiânia, showing impacts on the promotion of social entrepreneurship, income generation, and quality of life. The book also identifies affirmative actions aimed at women, indicating advances, limitations, and the need for more integrated and structural public policies capable of promoting gender equality and socioeconomic development.
